Pharmacology: Pharmacokinetics: Anastrozole is generally well tolerated and the most frequent adverse effects are gastrointestinal disturbances including anorexia, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea; hot flushes; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; and rash. Other reported effects including hair thinning, vaginal dryness or bleeding, oedema, myalgia and arthralgia, fever, thrombophlebitis, leucopenia, and flu-like syndrome. Abnormalities in liver enzyme values have occurred in some patients receiving Anastrozole.
