Betahistine HCl
Indications/Uses
Meniere's disease, Meniere-like syndrome (w/ symptoms of vertigo, tinnitus & sensorineural deafness) & vertigo of peripheral origin.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 24-48 mg daily in 2 or 3 divided doses. 8-mg tab 1-2 tab tid. 16-mg tab ½-1 tab tid. 24-mg tab 1 tab bid.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take during meals.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Do not give in patients w/ pheochromocytoma. Asthma, existing or history of PUD. Not recommended in childn.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, headache, skin rashes & pruritus.
