Lansoprazole can prolong elimination of drugs metabolized by cytochrome P450 in the liver, such as Diazepam, Warfarin and Phenytoin. Monitoring of patients who also get Warfarin and Phenytoin treatment is highly recommended, it may be necessary to reduce the dose of Warfarin or Phenytoin. Giving along with oral contraceptives and preparations such as Phenytoin, Theophylline, or Warfarin and Antacids and Sucralfate will reduce the bioavailability of Lansoprazole, therefore should not be given one hour after taking Lansoprazole.
