Indications/Uses
Management of mild to moderate pain & inflammation in conditions eg, dysmenorrhea, headache including migraine, post-op & dental pain; musculoskeletal & joint disorders eg, ankylosing spondylitis, OA & RA including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, periarticular disorders eg, bursitis & tenosynovitis & soft tissue disorders eg, sprains & strains. Fever reduction.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Painful conditions Adult 1.2-1.8 g daily in divided doses. Maintenance dose: 600 mg-1.2 g daily. Fever reduction Adult 200-400 mg 4-6 hrly to a max of 1.2 g daily. Rheumatic disease including juvenile idiopathic arthritis Childn ≥6 mth, weighing >7 kg 10 mg/kg tid-qid. Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis Up to 60 mg/kg daily in 4-6 divided doses. Childn <30 kg Max daily dose: 500 mg. Post-immunization pyrexia 50 mg, then a 2nd dose may be given after 6 hr. Infant 2-3 mth 50 mg.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
