Oxymetazoline HCl
Indications/Uses
Relief of nasal congestion associated w/ acute or chronic rhinitis, common colds, sinusitis, hay fever & other allergies. Reduction of swelling & facilitate visualization of nasal & pharyngeal membranes prior to surgery or diagnostic procedures; epistaxis; vasomotor rhinitis; non-allergic rhinitis w/ eosinophilia syndrome.
Dosage/Direction for Use
2-3 sprays bid every 10-12 hr in each nostril. Do not use for >3 days.
Special Precautions
May cause adverse systemic effects. Excessive, prolonged or too frequent intranasal use may irritate nasal mucosa, especially in childn.
Adverse Reactions
Transient burning, stinging, sneezing, increased nasal discharge or dryness of nasal mucosa.
