Recommended dose: Adults and children 12 years of age and older: 60 mg twice daily or 180 mg (1 film-coated tablet) once daily.
60 mg: A dose of 60 mg once daily is recommended as the starting dose in patients with decreased renal function.
Because elderly patients are more likely to have decreased renal function, care should be taken in dose selection.
For hepatically impaired patients indicated that it is not necessary to adjust the dose.
Children 6 to 11 years of age: 30 mg twice daily.
A dose of 30 mg once daily is recommended as the starting dose in pediatric patients with decreased renal function.
180 mg: Studies in special populations (elderly, renal or hepatic impairment) indicated that it is not necessary to adjust the dose of fexofenadine hydrochloride in these patients.
Mode of administration: Administer with water.
