Care should be taken for patients with serious renal insufficiency.
The safety and efficacy of Levodropropizine in children of less than 24 months has not been established.
Cough remedies are symptomatic remedies that should only be used pending diagnosis of the causative disease and/or pending the effect of the treatment of the underlying disease. It is recommended that such remedies should be used only for a short period of time (maximum 14 days).
Effect on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines: Drivers of vehicles and machine operators are warned of the possibility of drowsiness with the use of this drug.
Use in the Elderly: The pharmacokinetic properties of Levodropropizine in older patients do not seem to differ greatly from those in younger patients. This suggests that the dose and the dose interval do not have to be adjusted for older patients. However, necessary care should be taken with older patients because there are indications that the pharmacodynamic sensitivity to many drugs changes with age.
