Description

Active ingredient: Meropenem.
MONEM 0.5 g: Each vial of dry powder contains meropenem trihydrate corresponding to 0.5 g meropenem.
MONEM 1.0 g: Each vial of dry powder contains meropenem trihydrate corresponding to 1.0 g meropenem.
Excipient/Inactive Ingredients: Sodium carbonate 208 mg for each gram of meropenem (anhydrous potency).
MONEM 0.5 g: contains anhydrous sodium carbonate 104 mg.
MONEM 1.0 g: contains anhydrous sodium carbonate 208 mg.
For each gram of meropenem (anhydrous potency) the vial contains 90 mg (3.9 mmol) of sodium. MONEM is presented as a powder for constitution for Intravenous injection or infusion.
Sterile, white to off white powder. It is sparingly soluble in water, very slightly in hydrated alcohol, and practically insoluble in acetone or ether. Its empirical formula is C₁₇H₂₅N₃O₅S·3H₂O.
