Intranasal Alternating nostrils daily is recommended. Pain associated w/ acute osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures 200 IU daily. Paget's disease 200 IU daily. May give 200 IU bid in few cases.
Increased cancer risk w/ long-term use. Perform skin test before treatment in patients w/ history of hypersensitivity; nasal exam before treatment & when nasal complaints occur. Monitor patients w/ chronic rhinitis. Pregnancy. Not recommended in lactation. Childn.
